Most of the kayaks available from Clavey are also available for rent or demo.
Rentals: Weekday Rentals - $50 for a single or $70 for a tandem for a period of 24 hours. Weekend Rentals (includes both Saturday and Sunday) - single $70, double $90. Weekly Rentals (3 - 7 days) - single $150, double $210. Rentals include everything you need to get on the water (paddle, PFD, skirt, etc.). Kayaks are picked up and returned to Clavey River Equipment during normal business hours. Kayak choices are limited to stock on hand. To reserve a kayak please call 707.766.8070.
Demos: Want to try before you buy? All boats in stock are available for demo free of charge during normal working hours. We can even transport it to and from the water for you (the Petaluma River is just three blocks away). Demos are typically a maximum of 45 minutes in length. If you need more time to get the real feel of the boat and decide to rent instead, we’ll refund one day’s rental charge if you buy your kayak within 30 days.
Please note: We rent rafts to individuals with prior whitewater experience only. The right to refuse rental lies at our discretion. The individual renting the raft will be asked to sign an “assumption of risk and liability release”, as well as an affidavit stating your level of experience.
Inflatable Kayaks: Our self-bailing IK’s are top of the line and include paddle, pump, PFD, and helmet. Only $45 for a 24 hour period. Rental cost drop to $10 a day after the first two consecutive days (so a 4 day inflatable kayak rental would be $110).
Self Bailing Rafts: Clavey rents Avon Self-bailing Rafts. $145 for the first day and $35 per day after. Includes up to 8 PFDs, paddles, pump (rowing frame and oars available for same price). Self-bailing 15' Avon Expedition Raft w/full Expedition set up is $200 for the first day and $50 after. Please inquire on what our expedition set up includes. 707.766.8070
Cataraft: $105 for the first day and $20 after. Our single person 12’ Wing includes rowing frame, oars, PFD and pump.
