Rentals & Demos

Clavey Paddlesports has drive-away single and multi-day rentals for sit-on-top, recreational and touring kayaks, canoes, stand up paddleboards, inflatable kayaks and whitewater rafts of all sizes from our location in Petaluma, California.  Any one rental can be applied toward the purchase of any watercraft in the store within 30 days.

Stand Up Paddleboard Rentals

* All rentals include lifejacket, paddles, etc.
** All rentals must leave our shop on top of your vehicle
***Petaluma River drop off & pick up service is available by reservation for $10 per boat.
****Although we are very near the water, we are not actually “on” the water. We will gladly help you secure the rental to the tops of your vehicle as long as it is safe. Clavey is a Thule 5 Star Dealer and will gladly waive our installation fee should you purchase a Thule car rack for your kayak or SUP rental.



Inflatable Kayaks Rentals

Our self-bailing IKs are top of the line and include paddle, pump, PFD, and helmet. Daily, Weekend and Weekly Rental Rates for Inflatable Kayaks are the same as our other kayaks.


Self-Bailing Rafts


Clavey has Avon and Vanguard self-bailing whitewater rafts.

Paddle Raft or Simple Oar Rig
$180 – 1st Day
$60  -  Each following day
Includes up to 8 PFDs, pump, repair kit and paddles or rowing frame and oars.

Multi-Day Oar Rig
$255 – 1st Day
$60  -  Each following day
Includes frame, oars, pfds, drybox, cooler, cooler pad,  river table, drop bag, pump and repair kit.

On all raft rentals we will allow for unto three travel days (no charge) on rentals outside CA and two travel days for rentals in CA. Additional travel days will be charged at the full rate.

*Please note: We rent rafts to individuals with prior whitewater experience only. The right to refuse rental lies at our discretion. The individual renting the raft will be asked to sign an “assumption of risk and liability release”, as well as an affidavit stating your level of experience.
